Description

The Dam Park is Ampuero's family leisure area, set beside the River Asón on the road to Udalla. The dam creates a pool of calm water used as a natural swimming area in summer, in a tree-lined setting with playgrounds, picnic tables, municipal pools and a café.

A 500-metre pedestrian path runs along the right bank of the river to the Marrón bridge, through riverside vegetation and the sound of water. It is where locals and visitors enjoy the River Asón at its most accessible and family-friendly.

The park is also a reference point for kayak descents on the Asón, as several active tourism companies operate from the area. Combining a kayak descent with an afternoon at the park is one of the most complete plans in the Asón Valley.
