Description

A 7 km riverside trail along the Agüera River between the Oriñón estuary and the village of El Puente, capital of Guriezo. The path follows the riverbank, a designated Special Area of Conservation (Natura 2000 network), through riparian forest of alder, oak and hazel. Along the way you pass old flour mills, the Ferrería de La Yseca (13th century, the oldest ironworks in Cantabria) and the Marroquín Palace. The final stretch reaches the 16th-century three-arch bridge that gives the village its name. Flat and accessible route, ideal for families.
