La Yseca Ironworks

Description

An 18th-century hydraulic forge complex declared a protected cultural asset (BIC) in Cantabria. Located in El Puente (Guriezo) on the banks of the Río Agüera, it is one of the best-preserved examples of traditional iron smelting in the region. Its water-powered hammers and original forges remain intact. It forms a natural stop on the Río Agüera Riverside Trail (PR-S 38).
