Garganta del Calera, in Ramales de la Victoria, is an impressive limestone gorge in the heart of Alto Asón. Its canyoning descent is introductory but very visually striking: it is a dry canyon (without a watercourse) that is navigated by chaining spectacular rappels between the vertical walls of the gorge.

For about two to three hours, a professional guide accompanies you and teaches you how to handle the rope and descend each rappel safely. Since there is no water, it is a comfortable and accessible option for families and for those who want to start rappelling and canyoning while enjoying a spectacular mountain environment.
