Spain looks different from a horse
Why it stands out
- 01
A whole country, not one spot
Routes along the Tarifa coast, the Sierra Morena dehesa, Gredos, Aralar, the Moncayo, the Sierra de la Demanda and the Ribera del Duero. You choose a landscape, not just a date.
- 02
From two nights to a week
All are multi-day trips: some point-to-point, moving from village to village, others from a fixed base with daily rides. Each states how long it lasts and how much you ride a day.
- 03
A level for every rider
Some are easy, made for beginners; others are demanding for those who already ride with ease. Each listing states its difficulty: not all suit everyone.
- 04
Always with an equestrian guide
A professional accompanies every departure, matches the horse to your level and looks after the group's pace and the animals' welfare. A horse each and lodging included.

How to get there
When to go. Spring and autumn are ideal across most of Spain: mild temperatures for the horse and for you. In the north (Aralar, Moncayo, Demanda) summer works too; in the south (Tarifa, Sierra Morena) it's best to avoid the July–August heat.
What to bring. Comfortable long trousers, boots with a slight heel or riding boots, a helmet (usually provided by the guide), sun protection and water. Light luggage for the nights away; lodging and meals are included depending on each package.
How it works. The guide assigns each horse to your level and experience. The route, lodging and meals are arranged before you arrive; nothing is improvised on the fly.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need experience for a horseback route?
It depends on the route. Several fixed-base getaways are easy and beginner-friendly: daily rides at a walk with the guide beside you. The multi-day point-to-point treks do require ease at the walk and trot. Each listing states its level.
How long are they?
All are multi-day: from one- or two-night getaways to treks and expeditions of three to eight days. Check the length on each package.
Point-to-point or fixed base?
Both: treks that move from village to village across a range, and getaways ridden from a single lodging with daily rides. Each listing says which.
Where do the routes go?
All over Spain: Bolonia beach in Tarifa, the Sierra Morena dehesa, the Sierra de Gredos, the Sierra de Aralar, the Moncayo, the Sierra de la Demanda and the Ribera del Duero, among others.
What's included in the price?
It varies by route, but generally: a horse each, an equestrian guide and lodging. Many add meals and insurance. Each package details what's covered.
What do I bring?
Comfortable long trousers, boots with a slight heel or riding boots, a helmet (usually provided by the guide), sun protection and water. Light luggage for the nights away.
