Sleep rocked by the sea, wake among dolphins
Why it stands out
- 01
Living aboard, not a boat trip
You sleep in a cabin and eat aboard for days. The sea stops being an excursion and becomes your routine.
- 02
A marine biologist with you
It's not a tourist boat: a biologist sails aboard to interpret sightings and ensure the cetaceans are respected.
- 03
A cetacean corridor
The waters between Cabo Tiñoso, Cabo Cope and Cabo de Gata gather dolphins, pilot whales and large migrating cetaceans.
- 04
The sea sets the course
There's no rigid itinerary: the route is decided each day by the sea state and where the animals are.

Frequently asked questions
Are cetacean sightings guaranteed?
No. The sea between Cabo Tiñoso and Cabo de Gata is a cetacean corridor with a high chance of sightings, but these are wild animals and it's never guaranteed. The biologist aboard maximises the odds while respecting the animals.
How do you sleep and eat aboard?
In double cabins. Meals are included and prepared collaboratively among passengers; it's part of living aboard, not a serviced cruise.
Do I need sailing experience?
No. The crew (captain and marine biologist) handle the sailing. You just need to be comfortable at sea and able to swim for the snorkelling and swims.
What's the difference between the two voyages?
The weekend one is 3 days/2 nights along the Mazarrón coast, ideal to try life aboard. The full week is 7 days sailing between Cabo de Palos and Cabo de Gata, a total immersion.
Where does it sail from?
From Puerto Deportivo de Mazarrón, in Murcia. It's the home port of the schooner Karyam.
