Context This activity offers a scenic airplane flight over Ávila, a medieval city renowned for its well-preserved, 2.5-kilometer-long city wall with 88 towers. The Experience The adventure begins with a 30-minute theory session, during which you’ll learn basic piloting techniques and safety procedures. You’ll then board the small airplane for a 30- to 45-minute guided flight over the city and its landmarks, with the pilot pointing out key historical and geographical features. For 15 minutes under close supervision, you’ll take control of the aircraft and feel the thrill of flying firsthand. The wind carries the scent of thyme from the nearby Sierra.
