Snowmobiles allow you to explore snowy landscapes at high speed, experiencing the thrill of riding a powerful vehicle over fresh snow. This is one of the most popular winter activities in Spain's mountain resorts, especially in the Pyrenees. Snowmobile excursions typically take place in the late afternoon or at night, when ski pistes are closed. A local guide leads the group along pre-planned routes through snow-covered forests, valleys, and high plateaus, offering spectacular views of mountain peaks illuminated by moonlight or the first light of dawn. No special driving licence is required. Before departure, an instructor explains how to handle the snowmobile (accelerator, brake, steering) and safety rules. Snowmobiles are two-seater: you can ride as either the driver or passenger. Trips last between 30 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the chosen package. The most popular snowmobile destinations in Spain are Grandvalira and Vallnord (Andorra, easily accessible from Spain), Baqueira-Beret, Cerler, Formigal, and La Molina in the Pyrenees. Many offer packages combining the excursion with a dinner in a mountain refuge or fondue with panoramic views.
