Description

The Ajo Lighthouse stands on Cape Ajo, Cantabria northernmost point, atop 71-metre cliffs. The 16-metre tower was inaugurated in 1930 and rebuilt in 1980. In August 2020, Cantabrian artist Okuda San Miguel painted it in 72 colours in three days, representing the region cultural and natural diversity. A fenced pedestrian path runs along the cliff edge with open Cantabrian Sea views.
