The Asón Valley is, without question, the caving heart of Cantabria and one of Europe's most important karst areas. Within just 30 kilometres lie some of the continent's most extensive underground systems.

The Asón River rises from an impressive karst resurgence forming the Asón Waterfall, with a drop of over 50 metres, connecting to a vast underground network.

Cuivo Mortero de Astrana
