Cueva Cayuela (or Cañuela) is located in Arredondo, in the heart of the Valle del Asón, one of the most important karst systems in Europe. It is the lower exit of the famous Tonio-Cayuela traverse and hides some of the most spectacular galleries in Cantabria, including the impressive Sala Olivier Guillaume, one of the largest underground chambers in Spain.

This medium-level activity traverses handrails, small rappels, enormous galleries, and some narrow sections, amidst forests of stalactites and the characteristic serrated formations that make this cave famous. A guide accompanies you at all times, teaches you the necessary techniques, and ensures your safety while you discover the magnitude of the underground world.

It is designed for people with normal physical condition and some experience or the desire to take a step beyond initiation. It is not recommended for those who suffer from claustrophobia, intense vertigo, or mobility problems.
