What you'll experience

  1. Medieval inland villages

    After the briefing and bike delivery, departure towards the heart of Empordanet. You’ll cycle between Madremanya, Cruïlles and Monells along rural roads, with stops to explore their medieval centers on foot and the arcaded square of Monells. Lunch in a village, followed by arrival at rural accommodation for overnight stay.

  2. Olives and the Rural Empordà

    Second stage between olive groves and farmland, with Peratallada as the jewel of the route: its cobbled streets and walls are one of the best-preserved medieval complexes in Catalonia. Gentle pedaling to finish, closing the circuit through the interior of Baix Empordà.

The e-bike option makes it accessible to almost anyone. It’s not a good fit if you're looking for a technical challenge, steep climbs or long distances. Here the pace is leisurely and the terrain comfortable: it’s discovery bike touring, not a sporting event.

Is prior cycling experience necessary?
The route is easy, on flat and rolling terrain, suitable for beginners with basic fitness. The e-bike option makes it accessible to almost anyone.
Is it suitable for children or teenagers?
Yes, it’s a very good fit for families with teenagers used to cycling. For younger children we recommend the e-bike version and please consult us.
What type of bicycle is used?
Mountain bike or gravel bike, as the route combines dirt tracks and secondary roads. E-bikes are available with a supplement.
What’s the best time to do it?
Spring and autumn, with mild weather and fewer crowds. Summer is doable by getting an early start to avoid the heat.
Is food included?
No. Meals are not included so you can choose where to stop in each town, although we can arrange a picnic option or reservation.
