What you'll experience

Figueres and the universe of Dalí

Meeting in Figueres, bike delivery and briefing. Visit to the Dalí Theatre-Museum, the largest surrealist object in the world, and first acclimatization ride around the area.
Alt Empordà Vineyards

Stage between the vineyards of the DO Empordà and the fields of Alt Empordà, along rural roads and secondary highways heading towards the coast.
Cadaqués and Portlligat

Arrival in Cadaqués, the white town that captivated Dalí, and a visit to his House-Museum in Portlligat, where he lived and worked for decades.
The end of the earth: Cap de Creus

The highlight stage: climb to Cap de Creus natural park, the easternmost point of the peninsula, among cliffs sculpted by the tramontana wind and the lighthouse that inspired Dalí.
The Medieval Lower Empordà

Journey through the medieval towns of Baix Empordà —Peratallada, Pals, Monells— with a stop at the Gala Dalí Castle in Púbol, the third vertex of the triangle.
Tour of Girona

Final stage towards Girona, walk through its historic center and the Jewish Quarter, and end of the crossing. Bike return.

There are 429 km and 5,080 m of elevation gain: it requires a good level of fitness on a road bike, although an e-bike significantly reduces the difficulty and allows for mixed-level groups. This is not a beach trip or a comfortable cultural visit: it’s an active crossing. If you have never done multi-hour routes or are looking for effortless museums, a different format would be better.

Do I need to be an advanced cyclist?

For regular bikes, it’s helpful to have a good level of fitness for stages lasting several hours. With e-bikes, an intermediate level is sufficient and elevation changes stop being a problem.

What does the support vehicle include?

Luggage transport between accommodations, mechanical assistance on the road and the option to ride in the support vehicle if you need a rest one day.

Are tickets to the Dalí museums included?

Yes, tickets to the Dalí Theatre-Museum are included. The Casa de Portlligat requires a prior appointment and is arranged as part of the trip.

Can I choose an e-bike?

Yes. The e-bike is available as an option and is recommended for groups with varying fitness levels or to enjoy the ride without struggling on the hills.

What’s the best time to do it?

Spring and autumn offer the best weather and fewer crowds. Summer is possible with an early start, but it's hot and the coast gets crowded.
