Who this fits

With friends Ecotourism Family

It’s a great fit for families with kids from age 8 (the route is flat, safe and traffic-free) and for grandparents or less experienced couples who choose e-bikes. It also works perfectly for groups of friends looking for an active weekend without overdoing it: there’s time to enjoy the villages, leisurely meals and a siesta.

It's not suitable for those seeking serious mileage, elevation gain or a physical challenge: 36 km on flat terrain isn’t a sporting feat. Nor is it ideal for teenagers expecting intense adventure: the best thing here is precisely the calm, shade and white villages.

Frequently asked

Got a question not listed here? Just ask.

Is it really suitable for children?
Yes, from age 8 without any problem. The Green Way is flat, traffic-free and with a good surface. We always recommend wearing a helmet and, if the little one is just starting out, doing half a stage instead of the full 36 km.
Do I need to be in shape?
No. The 36 km on day 2 are flat-gentle downhill, and take 4–5 hours with stops. The rest of the days are short routes. If you’re worried, rent an e-bike and forget about it.
Conventional bike or e-bike?
Conventional is perfectly fine for adults in normal shape. E-bike compensates for grandparents, beginners or if you want to go with very little effort. Approximate extra cost: +30€/day.
What’s the best time to go?
Spring (March–June) and fall (September–November). July and August are possible, but you’ll need to get an early start and rest during the hottest part of the day.
Do I need to book the bikes in advance?
Yes, especially on long weekends and seasonal weekends. Picuco takes care of the reservation upon confirmation of the package.
