What you'll experience

Lower Aran, birch forests
Rolling stage following the Garonne river downstream from Vielha. You pass through Es Bordes and enter the Baixaran, the most Atlantic part of the valley. Dinner in Bossòst, accommodation with half board.

Forest roads back in action
Gradual ascent along forest tracks above the valley, with views of Tuc deth Pòrt de Vielha. You will arrive in the old town of Vielha in the late afternoon. Overnight stay in Vielha.

Naut Aran and the high towns
Follow the Garona upstream to its source, crossing Betren, Escunhau, Garòs and Arties. Finish in Salardú, a classic base for the high villages of the valley. Dinner and overnight stay.

The queen stage
You cycle towards Port de la Bonaigua (2,072 m), the natural gateway to Aigüestortes. After taking in the views from the pass, a long descent back to Vielha along the central corridor of the valley. Completion of the circuit.

Transfers
- Luggage transfer between stagesEach morning you leave your main bag at reception and find it waiting in your next lodging at the end of the stage. You only carry the day's kit: water, food, tools and a light shell.
Meals
- Dinners and breakfasts on routeAll four dinners and four breakfasts are included with the lodgings (half-board). Valley cuisine: olla aranesa, civet, Garonne trout, homemade desserts. Drinks not included.
