§02 — The place

Learn to be alone with the forest.

There’s a rare peace of mind in knowing that, if needed, you could start a fire, build shelter and find water. These survival camps on a private estate in Girona give you just that: real hours practicing with your hands on a huge property surrounded by forest, between the volcanic Garrotxa region and Lake Banyoles. You leave with less on your mind and more resources in your body.

§03 — Why it stands out

Why it stands out

  1. 01

    An entire estate for you

85 hectares of private forest and countryside: no public, no crowded trails, just your group and the instructor practicing calmly.

  2. 02

You learn by doing, not listening.

Each technique is practiced with your hands until it works out. Fire without a lighter, shelter that withstands the night, truly drinkable water.

  3. 03

    Prime location

Just a step away from the volcanic Garrotxa region and Lake Banyoles, a first-rate natural setting in the Girona area.

  4. 04

    Formats tailored to your needs.

From a beginner's day to several days with overnight stays. You choose how deep you want to go.

§04 — Who it fits

Who it fits

With friends Adventure Ecotourism Disconnection
This is for you if you want to disconnect from screens and learn hands-on skills, and don’t mind the cold, getting dirty or sleeping outdoors in overnight formats. You don't need to be an athlete, but you do need the right attitude: there will be effort, exposure to the elements and uncomfortable moments. If you’re looking for a comfortable retreat with all the amenities, this isn't the plan.

Physical level & requirements

Basic physical fitness sufficient for walking on uneven terrain, bending down, collecting firewood and working standing up for several hours. No athletic performance is required, but tolerance to the elements and, in longer formats, to sleeping outdoors is necessary.

How to get there

When: the best time is from spring to autumn, when the weather is more manageable for overnight stays.

Where: private estate in Sant Miquel de Campmajor (Girona), a few kilometers from Banyoles.

What you’ll do: fire-making, shelter building, obtaining and purifying water, orientation and tracking.

Formats: from a few hours to several days; the longer ones include overnight stays in nature.

Recommendations

Pack layers you don't mind getting dirty, well-worn hiking boots and a change of clothes. For overnight formats, a sleeping bag and pad suitable for the season make all the difference. Come with an open mind: the most valuable part is often discomfort well managed.

§08 — Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is prior experience necessary?

No. Beginner courses start from scratch and are taught step by step with specialized instructors.

Where do you sleep on the overnight formats?

On the estate itself, in a bivouac or camping depending on the format and time of year, as part of survival learning.

What if it rains?

The outdoors is part of the experience and is managed with expertise. In extreme conditions, the instructor will adapt or reschedule the activity.

Is it suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. There are short introductory formats designed specifically for those who have never done anything like it before.

What’s included and what should I bring?

The technical equipment and training are provided by the organization; you bring appropriate clothing, mountain footwear and, for overnight stays, your resting gear.
