Fire and shelter

Arrival at the estate, safety basics and initial techniques: starting a fire without matches and building the shelter where you will sleep. First night in nature.

Water, orientation and tracking

Water sourcing and purification, GPS-free orientation, and track reading in the forest. Practical session on the estate grounds and second overnight stay.
Día 3

Closing and return

Review of what we learned, camp pick-up and camp closing. Departure.

The area

Sant Miquel de Campmajor is the westernmost municipality in Pla de l'Estany, bordering the volcanic Garrotxa region. A valley of Mediterranean forest, fields and mountains, dotted with small villages, just a few kilometers from Lake Banyoles. A peaceful and green natural environment, ideal for an escape from the noise.

The camp takes place on a private estate in Sant Miquel de Campmajor (Girona), in the Pla de l'Estany region, about 9 km from Banyoles.

By car: this is the most practical way to get there; from Girona city it takes about 30-40 minutes. The organization will indicate the exact meeting point.

By public transport: there is a connection to Banyoles; from there, it’s best to coordinate the last leg of the journey with the organization, as the estate is in a rural setting.

Do I need prior experience?

No. The camp is designed for beginners; the instructors teach each technique step by step.

On the private estate itself, in a bivouac or camping depending on the season, applying the shelter techniques learned.

The outdoors is part of the experience and is managed with expertise. In extreme conditions, the instructor will adapt the activity.

What should I bring?

Layers of clothing you don’t mind getting dirty, mountain footwear, a change of clothes and appropriate rest gear for the season. The organization provides the technical material.
