Lakes Enol and Ercina, at 1,134 metres altitude in the Picos de Europa, are one of Asturias' and Spain's most iconic landscapes. Surrounded by alpine meadows where cattle and horses graze freely, the lakes reflect the surrounding limestone peaks. Car access is regulated in summer — shuttle bus from Cangas de Onís. Hiking routes of all levels depart from the lakes.
