Description
The experience focuses on the main resource: the Isla Cristina Fish Auction, the primary fish auction in Andalusia. You will attend the afternoon public auction live at the Lonja Norte —the one adapted to receive visitors— and learn firsthand about the fish marketing procedure and the working atmosphere surrounding it. The tour continues through the port environment: the moored fishing fleet, the views over the Marismas de Isla Cristina and Ayamonte Natural Park, and the interpretation from outside the industrial salt and canning heritage that gave rise to the municipality. It is the first contact with the city born from the sea.
