Arrival and first high mountain lake

Meeting with the guide, safety briefing and first route to approach a nearby ibón to get into the swing of things.
High-mountain tarn

Half-day route to a second high-altitude ibón (lake), with panoramic views of the western valleys.
The wildest lake

A day in one of the most remote ibones (pyrenean lakes) in Jacetania, far from the busiest trails.
Last lake and farewell

Fourth route to a final ibón and return. Trip ends early afternoon.

It’s a good fit if you enjoy mountain hiking and want to discover the ibones without worrying about logistics. A reasonable level of fitness is needed for 4-5 hours of hiking with elevation gain, but no technical experience is required. This isn’t high-altitude mountaineering involving ropes or crampons. If you're looking to see lakes from the car or don’t want to walk several hours a day, this trip isn't for you.

How many hours of walking are there each day?

Between 4 and 5 hours for a half-day trip, with plenty of time to stop, have a meal and enjoy each lake at your own pace.

What if a high mountain lake is still frozen?

The guide chooses the ibones based on the actual mountain conditions at those dates. If one is inaccessible, they will substitute it with an equivalent alternative.

Is transportation included?

Yes, daily transfers to each route starting point are made in the company vehicle. Getting to the area is on your own.

Can I go if I have no mountain experience?

Yes, as long as you have a reasonable level of fitness for walking several hours with elevation gain. No technique is required, just the desire to hike.
