What you'll experience

  1. Núria and first stage

    Arrival at the sanctuary of Núria, briefing and first stage towards the first refuge through high mountain passes.

  2. Ridge stage

    Day of crossing through the highest passes of the route, with open panoramas of the Catalan Pyrenees.

  3. Towards the valley of Camprodon

    Gradual descent into the valley, connecting shelters and classic trails of Ripollès.

  4. Arrival in Setcases

    Final stage to Setcases, completion of the crossing and farewell to the group.

This is a good fit if you’re already used to hiking in the mountains and want a challenging trek with everything organized. You'll need good physical condition to link stages of several hours with elevation gain for four consecutive days, and experience hiking with a backpack. Depending on the time of year, there may be snowy sections where the guide will apply safety techniques. This isn’t for beginners or those looking for short routes: this is real high mountain hiking.

How many hours of walking are there per day?
Between 5 and 7 hours per stage, with accumulated mountain elevation gain. This is a demanding trek designed for experienced hikers.
Do I need snow gear?
Depending on the time of year, there may be snowy sections where the guide will apply safety techniques. Specific equipment is included; we’ll let you know in advance what you need to bring.
What is the accommodation like?
In mountain refuges, with shared bunk beds and full board. It’s the classic multi-day trekking experience.
Can I do it without experience?
We do not recommend it for beginners. It requires experience hiking with a backpack and dealing with elevation gain. If you are unsure of your level, we suggest a more accessible route.
