Kitesurf Course in Corralejo · 5 days with accommodation

In La Oliva

Camp · 7 nights Moderate

From 590 € /person

At a glance
  • Steady trade winds twelve months a year: you learn in February the same as in August
  • Max 2 students per instructor — private or semi-private classes, not a big group
  • Kite, board, harness, helmet and lifejacket always included
  • 7 nights' accommodation included for full immersion without daily commute
  • Corralejo: village with nightlife and restaurants a few minutes from the spot

What you'll experience

  1. Arrival, briefing and kite handling in the sand.

Check-in at the accommodation. Theoretical briefing with the instructor: wind, flight window, safety, basic handling. First practical session with a training kite on the sand, without going into the water yet. Free afternoon to get acquainted with the spot and watch the rest of the group navigate.

  2. Comet in the Water · Bodydrag and Relaunch

You enter the water with the kite for the first time. Bodydrag (advancing without a board) to feel how the wind pushes you. Kite relaunching from the water. The instructor follows you closely and corrects you after each fall. By the end of day 3, you can handle the kite with some independence.

  3. Water start and first meters on the board

Board riding. Water-start (getting up on the board from the water) — the most frustrating and rewarding moment of the course. Day 4: you fall a lot and make little progress. Day 5: you ride several meters in a row, stop, try again. Before you leave, you’ve already got the hang of it.

  4. Free session and check-out

Last free session morning to consolidate what you’ve learned without the pressure of the program. Check-out of accommodation in the afternoon. Return flight or transfer to continue on to Lanzarote.

Who this fits

Adventure Disconnection Local Life
Built for first-time kitesurfers who want full immersion without managing accommodation, for couples or small groups of friends, for those who value a low ratio (1-2 students per instructor) over crowded classes. Not the right fit for advanced kitesurfers wanting big waves (Corralejo is a progression spot, not advanced freeride) or for under-12s.

Frequently asked

Got a question not listed here? Just ask.

Minimum age?
12, with parental authorisation for minors. You need moderate fitness, balance and enough strength to handle the kite and the board.
Do I need previous experience?
No. The course is designed for absolute beginners and for intermediate riders looking to refine technique in Atlantic conditions.
What if there's no wind on a given day?
Very rare in Corralejo, but if it happens the session is rescheduled for another day or replaced with an alternative: guided snorkel, wakeboard or theory session. The school has this protocol active.
What type of accommodation?
7 nights in Corralejo, close to the beach. The exact format (hotel, apartment, studio) is finalised on date confirmation — it depends on seasonal availability and group size.
How are the classes taught?
The school adapts the method to wind conditions, group level and spot zone. It can be onshore practice with a training kite, a session in shallow water or, in advanced sessions, with a support boat. The instructor decides each day depending on conditions.
What gear is provided and what do I bring?
Provided: kite, board, harness, helmet and lifejacket. You bring: swimsuit, water-resistant sunscreen, towel, wind-resistant cap, sunglasses with strap and water for hydration.
How do I get to Corralejo?
Fuerteventura airport (FUE) 35 min by car; daily direct flights from Madrid, Barcelona and most European capitals. There's also a ferry from Playa Blanca (Lanzarote) if you combine the two islands. Bus Tiadhe line 6 from FUE to Corralejo, frequent.
