La Ermita de Socueva via ferrata (Arredondo)

Come in good physical shape and well-rested: it is a demanding ferrata that punishes the arms. Wear mountain boots with grip, comfortable clothing, ferrata gloves, and bring enough water. Secure your phone and camera during overhang sections. The best time is from spring to autumn with dry rock; avoid rainy days. Always listen to the guide at key steps and respect the rule of never unclip both carabiners at once. If you feel the level is too much for you, tell the guide before the most committed sections.

Good physical condition and previous experience in via ferratas are required. The route involves intense arm effort on overhangs and endurance to maintain progression for 2-3 hours. It is not suitable for people with severe vertigo, heart problems, shoulder, elbow or back injuries, or pregnant women. It is essential not to be afraid of heights and to know how to manage exposure.
