Description

The Leonese Mythology Trail is a 3-kilometre circular walk starting from the village of Carande, next to Riaño reservoir. Interpretive panels introduce walkers to Astur-Leonese mythology: the Güestia, xanas (water nymphs), coballos (enchanted horses) and dragons of the Riaño Mountains. The route passes through meadows, oak forests and viewpoints over the reservoir. Waymarked, no guide or booking needed.
