Description

The Tombo Viewpoint is the reward for one of the shortest and most rewarding hiking trails in the Picos de Europa National Park. From Oseja de Sajambre, the path climbs 300 metres in just 1.5 kilometres via a well-marked forest trail through the Sajambre beech forest. The viewpoint at 1,100 metres altitude offers a 180° panorama: villages of Oseja and Soto de Sajambre, the source of the Sella River among the beeches, and in the background the Cornión and Urrieles massifs above 2,600 metres. The full route (round trip) covers 3 kilometres and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Suitable for families with children aged 8 and up.
