Description

A 36 km greenway following an old mining railway through the Trubia river gorge in Asturias' green heart. The route, completely flat and paved, connects Tuñón to Entrago passing the Proaza enclosure where Paca and Molina, two rescued Cantabrian brown bears, can be observed from a viewpoint. The landscape alternates limestone gorges, chestnut and beech forests, river bridges and lit tunnels.

Visitor Tips

Start from Tuñón (downhill towards Entrago). Rent e-bike if not fit. Bears best seen early morning. Bring torch for tunnels (lit but dim). Cider at Proaza bars on the way back.
