-
Only shelters (every night in the mountains)
Four nights in guarded refuges, slightly adjusting the route to link Vega de Ario, Vegabaño and other FAM refuges. More spartan, lighter backpack, more continuous experience. Subject to availability of places.
-
Only towns with intermediate transfers
Four nights in hostels or guesthouses in towns (Cangas, Caín, Arenas, Sotres), with vehicle transfers between the start and finish point of each stage when necessary. More comfort and hot showers, but breaks the linear continuity of the crossing.
Meals on the road · picnic + dinner at a shelter or town · Picnic-style lunch purchased the night before in the overnight town, dinner from the refuge menu or the hostel restaurant depending on the stage. Breakfast at the accommodation. Dinners in town include Cantabrian-Asturian dishes: fabada, lebaniego stew, Cabrales cheese, game stews. Special menu coordination upon request.
-
Vegetarian menu
Dinners and picnics adapted to a vegetarian diet, coordinated in advance with each accommodation. There is a good offer in village hostels (omelets, salads, vegetable stews, cheeses); the refuge menu is more limited but adaptable with prior notice.
