What you'll experience

Torcal Via Ferrata

9:00 meeting with the guide in Antequera, transfer to Sierra de Chimenea, equipment and ascent (2 h). Includes several rappels and the final zip line.
The Torcal at sunset

Ascent to the visitor center, yellow route (3 km, 1 h 30) through eroded limestone towers. Perfect side lighting for photography.
King's Path or dolmens

If you have booked: Caminito del Rey (7.7 km, 3-4 h, internal bus transfer). Alternative: UNESCO dolmens + Antequera historical center + *porra* in a tavern.

Who this fits

Fits if you want a K3-K4 (medium-high) ferrata with overhangs and a zipline, paired with karst landscape unique in Europe. Ideal for couples or friends with basic heights experience.

Doesn't fit for beginners (try an easier K2/K3 first) or beach lovers. In summer it hits 35 °C and the ferrata is dawn-only.

Do you need prior experience?

Recommended to have done at least one previous via ferrata with a guide. The Torcal route is K3-K4 with overhangs; not suitable for absolute beginners.

How do I add the Caminito del Rey?

Book your entry at caminitodelrey.info 1-2 months in advance. We can help coordinate dates if you let us know upon confirmation.

Better by high-speed train or car?

AVE from Madrid if you don’t need to travel between points (you can hire a local transfer). Car if you want Caminito del Rey + El Torcal without waiting.

Can the stay be extended to 2 nights?

Yes, subject to availability. It allows you to add dolmens and Caminito del Rey without stress.
