What you'll experience

  1. Check-in, level assessment and welcome.

    Arrival at the camp in the afternoon, tent/glamping assignment, level group assignment and welcome dinner. Tour of the camp with the team. Short bonfire in the evening.

  2. Surf session + yoga/surfskate + shared meal

    Breakfast 8-9 AM. Transfer to Oyambre at 9:30 AM, session from 10 AM to 12 PM. Packed lunch for the beach or back at camp. Free afternoon with options for yoga, surfskate or fitness. Dinner together at 8:30 PM. Some afternoons include video analysis of the session.

  3. Last session, farewells and check-out.

    Final session, meal together and check-out at 11:00. Some stay for lunch; others rush to the airport. Optional transfer to Santander or Bilbao upon request.

Glamping or shared tent?
Glamping is private with double bed, sheets, nearby shower and hotel-like comfort. Shared tent is for 1-4 people with cot-style bed, mat and blanket. Glamping costs two-to-three times depending on season. Shared tent is the most social; glamping is the most comfortable.
What language are the classes in?
Depends on the session's group. Some sessions are entirely English (July-August when 80% of guests are international) and others are mixed Spanish+English. In Level 2 with 1:4 ratio the instructor adapts to the group's language.
How do I choose my level?
Level 0: never surfed or tried it once or twice. Level 1: you stand on small waves and start moving across. Level 2: you turn the board and choose your wave. The school adjusts the level the first two days if you booked wrong.
Is it a party atmosphere?
It's social. Group dinner, occasional concerts at the camp (acoustic, local DJ), bonfire. Not a nightclub: people go to bed reasonably early because the next morning the session starts at 9.
Can I go in May or September?
Yes. The short weeks (Sat-Wed or Wed-Sat) are available in May, June and September. In July-August only the full Saturday-to-Saturday is offered.
Do they accept families with small kids?
Families in shared tent or glamping are accepted, but surf is from age 14 for safety. If the kids are younger, the family can come and the parents use the school while the kids play at the camp.
