Description

A 15th-century Gothic castle built by Constable Ruy López Dávalos on a hill overlooking Arenas de San Pedro and the Tiétar Valley. Named for doña Juana de Pimentel, widow of Constable Álvaro de Luna, who spent her last years here after her husband's execution. The keep, battlements and parade ground preserve their original structure. Tower views span Gredos peaks to the north and Tiétar olive groves to the south.
