Description

The most demanding level in the AIXA series — advanced caving with canyon exit Cueva AIXA IV is the pinnacle of the progressive karst cave series near Deba (Gipuzkoa). A level IV caving route with complex technical sections: vertical passages, narrow traverses and an imposing exit canyon that adds a unique dimension to the experience. The activity lasts approximately 5 hours.

The activity The guide equips the group with helmets with head torches, protective oversuits and collective technical equipment (ropes, anchors). The interior combines galleries, sections with vertical progression and the passage through the exit canyon — one of the most spectacular features in the entire series. It is the only cave in the series with a speleological canyoning section.

Who can do it Minimum age 14. It is recommended to have completed AIXA I or AIXA II, or to have experience in technical mountain activities. Good physical condition required. No technical caving experience needed, but a willingness for demanding environments is essential.
