A specialist visual culture guide reveals works by Escif (Valencia's Banksy, political and poetic), Blu (monumental Italian murals), Julieta XLF (feminism and nature), Deih (pop surrealism) and other artists who transform medieval facades into contemporary canvases. The tour connects the neighbourhood's history — former Moorish suburb, then working-class bohemia, now creative epicentre — with the current art scene. You'll pass independent galleries like Pepita Lumier and Montana Gallery, open studios where artists work in view, and El Carmen's most photogenic corners.
