Ribera Sacra Forest Trek: Mao Canyon & Bidueiral de Gabin (2 Days)
Embark on a two-day hiking journey through the enchanting forests of Ribera Sacra, a perfect retreat to find the relaxation you seek. We all need a break, a few days in nature to recharge, escape the noise, and return renewed to daily life. You'll traverse two of the area's most popular routes: the Mao River Canyon and the Bidueiral de Gabin in Montederramo, home to one of Galicia's most beautiful birch forests and the highest point of Ribera Sacra. As you hike, you'll witness the impressive vineyards of the Ribera Sacra Designation of Origin, where the Miño River carves its path. The forests teem with life, sheltering chestnuts, oaks, cork trees, and even strawberry trees. The first day begins at 11 AM, concluding with an overnight stay in a hostel, including dinner and breakfast. The second day continues with a provided picnic, finishing around 4 PM. This experience is designed for groups of 5 to 25 people, offering a profound connection with the Galician landscape.
