Context
The Cueva de los Chorros, located in the mountainous region of Santander, is a vast karst cave system spanning approximately 33 km of explored galleries. It is renowned for the natural phenomenon of the 'reventón' of the Río Mundo, visible during the approach, as well as its subterranean lakes and limestone formations. The cave maintains a constant internal temperature between 12 and 14°C, creating a cool, humid environment ideal for caving.

After an arduous hike through mountain trails scented with thyme, you’ll reach the cave entrance. Equipped with helmet and headlamp, you’ll begin the guided descent through galleries with rough textures and echoing water sounds. You’ll perform rappelling and navigate tight passages that test your physical fitness and technical skills, all while observing stunning stalactites and hidden underground lakes.
