Caving in the UNESCO-designated Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve offers access to a remarkable subterranean world shaped by unique karst formations. The explored galleries extend up to 500 meters, maintaining a constant, cool temperature of 12–14°C, creating a consistently fresh and humid environment.
The Experience
Accompanied by expert guides, you’ll navigate narrow underground passages where stalactites and stalagmites have sculpted intricate mineral landscapes over time. The soft echo of dripping water follows each step as you move through chambers and tunnels. Technical gear, including helmets and safety equipment, is provided, and guides offer insights into local geology and subterranean wildlife, deepening your connection to this hidden world.

This activity suits individuals in good physical condition with prior experience in similar environments, as well as children over 8 years old when supervised. It is not recommended for those with limited mobility or sensitivity to cold, damp conditions.
