Discover Huesca

Huesca is the provincial capital closest to the great natural spaces of the Aragonese Pyrenees and serves as a base for the most demanding mountain activities in the range. Fifty kilometres to the north, the Sierra de Guara is a world reference for canyoning, with over 400 catalogued gorges including Formiga, Vero and Mascún. The Riglos climbing crags, with the Mallos towers rising over 300 m vertical, are 70 km away. The GR-1 long-distance trail crosses the province east to west, linking Pyrenean valleys. In summer (June–September) the Sierra de Guara canyons are at their best, with water temperatures of 14–18 °C. Autumn is ideal for MTB and mid-mountain hiking. In winter, the Pyrenean ski resorts (Aramón Formigal at 110 km) offer alpine and cross-country pistes. Zaragoza airport (70 km) and the N-240 from Lleida provide access.
