Discover Córdoba

Córdoba combines cultural tourism with a rich offering of outdoor activities in the Sierra Morena and the Guadalquivir dehesas. The Guadalquivir river as it flows through the city offers kayaking and canoeing routes between orchards and riverine woodland. To the north, the Sierra Morena — with the Parque Natural Sierra de Hornachuelos to the west and the Sierras de Córdoba to the east — concentrates hiking along the GR-48 (Camino Natural del Guadalquivir), MTB on red earth tracks and horse riding through holm-oak and cork-oak dehesas. The main season runs from October to May, taking advantage of the mild Córdoba autumn (18–24 °C) and spring bloom. Summer (July–August) can exceed 40 °C inland, so outdoor activities are best in the early morning or in shaded woodland areas. The A-4 from Seville (140 km) and the A-45 from Málaga (170 km) provide easy access; high-speed rail connects Córdoba with Madrid in 1 h 45 min.
