What you'll experience

Atlantic beaches and Valdevaqueros dune
Meet at noon in Tarifa town. After a welcome lunch, first stage along Los Lances and Valdevaqueros beach to Punta Paloma (8-9 miles). Headwind if it’s blowing. Dinner and overnight stay in accommodation in the Bolonia/Punta Paloma area.

The dune, the cove and the Roman ruins
Tomorrow to the Cabo de Gracia trail and descent to Bolonia cove (15 km). Lunch on the beach. In the afternoon, guided tour of Baelo Claudia with entry included, and climb to the great dune for sunset. Dinner at a local restaurant in Bolonia with almadraba tuna.

Cliffs, coves and a finish with the taste of tuna traps.
Final stage along the coastal path of Cabo de la Plata towards Cañuelo and Atlanterra (16-18 km). Arrival in Zahara de los Atunes mid-afternoon. Picnic lunch at a viewpoint. Farewell in Zahara; transfer back to Tarifa or Algeciras included.

The area
Tarifa is continental Europe's southernmost point: a strip between two seas (Atlantic and Mediterranean) and two continents. Constant winds, 10 km of white beaches, and a walled old town facing Africa just 14 km across.
- Cadiz — 100 km · 1.5 h
- Seville — 200 km · 2.8 h
- Malaga — 155 km · 2.3 h
By air: Jerez airport (1h30 drive), Gibraltar (45 min), or Seville (2h). Malaga is the broadest international option (2h15).
By train + bus: AVE to Seville or Cadiz, then direct bus to Tarifa (Comes, ~1h30 from Algeciras). We pick you up at Algeciras station at no cost.
By car: A-381 motorway from Seville or A-7 from Malaga to Tarifa. Parking in the village (paid in high season).
