Wine tourism at the gates of the Caroig

La Canal de Navarrés is a water county, but at the gates of the Caroig the wine begins. In Enguera, a sustainable winery works among vines and woodland, with visits through the vineyard, the barrel room and the bottling plant, and tastings that explain each wine; it even runs unusual experiences such as an evening watching bats among the vines. Half an hour away, the Terres dels Alforins — Moixent, Fontanars, la Font de la Figuera — keep centuries-old wineries such as Celler del Roure, at the foot of the Iberian settlement of la Bastida, where the tasting comes with landscape and history.
