What you'll experience

Arrival and winery visit

Arrival in Cofrentes around 11h. Guided 1-hour tour of a family winery in DO Utiel-Requena or Manchuela. Wine tasting of 3-4 wines with pairings.
Hervideros Spa or Júcar River Cruise

Depending on your reservation: 90-minute thermal circuit in the spa’s active pools, or a 2-hour river cruise through the Júcar Canyon to Cortes de Pallás.
Dinner and illuminated castle

Check-in at the rural lodging. Half-board dinner with Manchego-Valencian cuisine. Optional stroll through Cofrentes with views of the illuminated Medieval Castle.
Breakfast and return

Breakfast with local products. Check-out until 12h. Possibility of strolling through the town center or along the Cabriel trails before departure.

Small country house (8-15 places) in Cofrentes, Jalance or Cortes de Pallás, family-run. Local character.

Hervideros Thermal Circuit (90 min)

Active pools at 28°C, steam room, pressure showers, cervical jets, jacuzzi. Open all year round.
Júcar River Cruise (2 hrs)

Motorboat trip from Cofrentes to Cortes de Pallás, limestone canyon with walls close to 100 m. Operating March-November, subject to water level.

Cofrentes lies in western Valencia province, at the confluence of the Júcar and Cabriel rivers, at 400 m altitude. Dry plateau landscape with deep river canyons and small villages. The Hervideros spa is 1 km from the village centre, in a 200-ha park.

Who this fits

With friends Romantic Relaxation Gastronomy Wellness

Fits if: you mix thermal wellness with a wine angle, have time (one night is the minimum), and drive from Valencia, Albacete, Madrid or Castellón without trouble. Couples, friend groups, senior escapes.

Doesn't fit if: you want Michelin-grade dining, travel with very young children (spa age limits), or expect resort luxury. For more intensive wine + in-house spa see Mainetes (Albacete); for wine + mountain see Liébana.

Do I have to choose between spa and cruise?

Yes, one of the two is included in the base rate. You can add the other as a supplement if you have time (better with 2 nights).

Is the spa part of the hotel where we’re staying?

It depends. The accommodation option can be the Hotel Balneario Hervideros itself (with direct access) or a nearby rural guesthouse — in which case, entry to the thermal circuit is included.

When does the Júcar cruise not operate?

From December to February it usually doesn’t operate due to water level/cold. In summer it runs with several departures a day. In spring/fall confirm 48 hours in advance with the operator.

Are children allowed on the trip?

Children over 8-10 years old, yes. The spa’s thermal circuit has a minimum age requirement (confirm). Cruise, winery visit and castle are suitable.

What do you eat with half board?

Dinner at the accommodation’s restaurant: Manchego-Valencian country cuisine (Manchego gazpacho, gachas, ajoarriero, game meat in season, homemade desserts). Adaptable for vegetarians with notice.

Is a car necessary?

Yes, there is no useful public transportation. A car is also necessary to get around between accommodation, winery, spa and cruise ship dock.
