Context
Moal Forest lies in the municipality of Cangas del Narcea, in the narrow valley formed by the Muniellos River, a tributary of the Narcea River. This 11 km circular route passes through native woodlands of chestnut, oak, and beech trees, with a total elevation gain of 533 meters. In autumn, the landscape glows in warm hues, and the air carries the earthy scent of damp soil and fallen leaves.
The Experience
Walk at your own pace along a winding trail that winds through ancient trees and traditional stone structures known as corripas, used to store chestnuts.
