The Ría de Ajo, between the municipalities of Bareyo and Meruelo, is one of the most tranquil and well-preserved estuaries on the eastern Cantabrian coast. Its sheltered waters, with marshes and riverside woodland, make it a perfect setting for kayaking and paddleboarding with family or friends.

The route winds through channels between reeds and seagrass meadows, with chances to spot wading birds, otters and salt-tolerant plant species. Available in single or double kayak and stand-up paddleboard. No prior experience needed. Equipment included.
