Partiremos desde este emblemático puerto de montaña madrileño y pondremos rumbo a otro lugar icónico de este entorno, los Siete Picos, 7 montañas consecutivas de más de 2 mil metros de altura. Disfrutaremos de una excursión de lo más relajante y amena, y completarla nos regalará las mejores vistas de la región madrileña que se puedan contemplar. Esta aventura será fácil y para esta ruta de senderismo solo tienes que venir con ropa y calzado deportivo cómodo. Pon atención a la época del año en la que decidas venir porque la temperatura varía mucho durante el año, no creas que por ser en la Sierra de Guadarrama siempre hace frío. No necesitarás nada más, ni materiales ni equipamiento técnico de ningún tipo, y el guía para la excursión correrá por nuestra cuenta. Esta salida senderista comenzará desde el Puerto de Navacerrada y pondremos rumbo al Alto del Telégrafo. Ir por este camino nos llevará a un rincón precioso de la Sierra de Guadarrama, al altar de la Virgen de las Nieves, una estatua que rinde homenaje a esta figura cristiana que se encuentra en una de las cimas que rodea al Puerto de Navacerrada y que se encuentra 1975 metros sobre el nivel del mar. A partir de aquí descenderemos para ir por terreno llano hasta llegar a una bella pradera, de esta manera, podremos llegar hasta nuestro anhelado destino, sin apenas esfuerzo. Continuamos a nuestro ritmo y con total facilidad hasta llegar al pico de Somontano. Esta cima es la séptima de los Siete Picos y es la que mayor altura presenta, con 2138 metros de altura. Ya aquí estaremos inmersos en plena Sierra de Guadarrama y disfrutaremos de un entorno de fantasía mientras nos vemos rodeados por los Siete Picos. Llegados a este punto solo nos queda aprovechar el magnífico entorno y disfrutar de las bellas vistas que nos hemos ganado realizando esta ruta de senderismo. Si te ha llamado la atención, sin duda alguna esta excursión es para ti, y si no te cuadra la duración también tenemos salidas para aventureros más osados o más precavidos.
