Food Tour at Valencia Central Market

A guided gastronomic tour of Valencia's Central Market, one of Europe's largest active food markets with over 1,200 stalls since 1928. A local guide with culinary training explains the Modernist building's history — glass domes, decorative tiles, iron structure — as you walk aisles bursting with colour and aroma. The tour includes 6 to 8 tastings at selected stalls: artisan horchata from Alboraya tiger nuts, Requena longaniza sausage, steamed clóchinas (mussels), sun-ripened Valencian garden fruits, Serranía cheeses and traditional sweets like coca de llanda and fartons. The route passes the spice stall where saffron and paprika recall Valencia's Arab history. It ends with tapas and wine at market bars where locals eat their mid-morning esmorzaret.
