Discover Segovia

Segovia has the northern face of the Sierra de Guadarrama at its back, reaching 2,430 metres at Pico Peñalara and concentrating much of the adventure offering of the Madrid and Castile-León regions. The Cañada Real Segoviana is one of the most recognisable historic hiking routes on the Meseta, crossing the Valsaín pine forests and high-mountain meadows. The climbing routes of La Pedriza and the Valle del Moros sectors offer technical quality on compact granite with solid protection. The Scots pine forests surrounding La Granja de San Ildefonso are the usual setting for intermediate mountain biking routes, with forest tracks and technical trails connecting elevations between 900 and 1,800 metres. Horse riding through the Segovian pine forests and via ferrata routes in nearby sectors complete an offering that can be enjoyed in almost any month thanks to the moderate continental mountain climate.
