Spring and autumn combine mountain activities with mild city temperatures (18–24 °C). The nearby Costa Tropical (65 km away) adds sea kayaking and windsurfing. The A-44 motorway connects Granada with the sierra in 40 minutes; for the Trevélez canyons, access via the GR-421 from Órgiva is recommended. Granada airport operates domestic and international flights.
