Its strategic position makes it a base for canyoning in the limestone gorges of the Córdoba Subbética, where sheer rock faces offer technical descents surrounded by Mediterranean flora. The territory also follows the Vía Verde de la Subbética, a natural corridor adapted for cyclists and hikers along the old railway route through olive groves and holm oak woodland. Mountain bike trails cross landscapes of centuries-old olive trees typical of the Priego de Córdoba Protected Designation of Origin, while the banks of the Genil can be explored on foot with low-difficulty routes suitable for all the family.

Practical tips
For canyoning, book with a local company that knows current water levels, as rain can change conditions within hours. For kayaking on Iznájar, motorboats have restricted zones, so check the navigation map before setting out.
