Si quieres ver pinturas rupestres tienes que venir a las Cuevas de Vilella. En esta ruta de senderismo podrás contemplar todas las huellas de nuestros antepasados prehistóricos situadas a unos 7 kilómetros del pueblo de Tivisa. Concretamente se encuentran al pie del barranco de Tivissa, sobre la fuente de Vilella, y son 3 cuevas: Cueva del Cingle: contiene una representación de un cazador o arquero que se dispone a disparar el arco. Fue descubiera, junto a las pinturas de la cueva del Ramat, en 1921 por J. Colominas. Cueva del Ramat: posee dibujos de 9 animales, que se asemejan a las cabras pirenáicas hispánicas. Cueva del Pi: tiene figuras difíciles de clasificar. Contiene 5 figuras de trazos lineales que parecen representar la forma humana, simbolizando la acción o movimiento. Para visitarlas, tendremos que emplear entre 3 y 4 horas, realizando un recorrido de 12 kilómetros circular en el que además pasaremos por la fuente de Vilella y la ermita de Sant Blai, el Morral de Penarroja y el ullal de la Costa del Moro. De vuelta al pueblo pasaremos por el barranco de los Fogassos y el cuello de Monegret, con vistas impresionantes del entorno. Deberás llevar ropa y calzado cómodos y adecuados según la época del año, además de agua y comida para reponer fuerzas durante las paradas que realicemos.
