Description

A 7.3 km circular trail through the Candina massif to the Ojos del Diablo (Devils Eyes), two natural stone arches framing the Cantabrian Sea. The path departs from Sonabia and climbs through karst terrain with limestone pavements and sinkholes to reach these natural viewpoints at around 350 metres altitude. Along the way you pass through a Cantabrian holm oak forest and a vulture nesting area, home to the only coastal griffon vulture colony in Europe. Views stretch from Sonabia beach to the Islares cliffs and on clear days the Basque coast.
