Sport Climbing Course on Limestone in Cabra, Córdoba

Context Sport climbing on limestone at Peña López, located in the foothills of the Natural Park of the Subbéticas Mountains in Cabra, Córdoba, offers a unique environment for learning and refining climbing techniques. The area features 24 climbing routes reaching up to 15 meters in height, on rock with a rough texture that provides excellent grip. The mild climate and favorable wall orientation allow climbing nearly all year, avoiding extreme temperatures.

The experience During the course, you’ll begin with essential safety theory and equipment use, followed by practice on beginner routes to build familiarity with the rock. You’ll then progress to advanced techniques and medium-difficulty routes, always under personalized supervision. As you climb, the wind carries the scent of thyme, and bird songs accompany each movement. The session concludes with a performance evaluation and recommendations for independent climbing.
